Quantum Broncos

hey. we're a small group of broncos who got curious about quantum computing and decided to just… figure it out together. you don't need to be a physics major. you don't need to know any of this yet.

the whole point is we learn it as a group — no experience needed — so bring a notebook and a coffee. if "a qubit can be |0⟩ + |1⟩ at once" sounds confusing, good. that's exactly why we meet.

what we actually do

• study sessions. every week we pick one thing — qubits, superposition, some algorithm that shouldn't work but does — and grind through it on the whiteboard until it clicks. snacks usually involved.
• hands-on stuff. we write real code in Qiskit and run it on actual IBM quantum computers (it's free, and honestly kind of wild that you can from a laptop in Kalamazoo). you'll write your first quantum program sooner than you'd think.
• no pressure. miss a week, come back, nobody keeps score. we're here because it's fun.

stuff we get up to

• weekly study nights (the main thing)
• an intro-to-Qiskit crash session at the start of each semester
• a Qiskit hack day we're slowly putting together for the fall
• the occasional guest talk + watch-along. sometimes pizza.
